Here is an option – birds of prey park Cim d’Àligues (which in Catalan means the Peak of the Eagles) located in one of the most picturesque places for which Catalonia is so famous, on a hilltop near the town of Sant Feliu de Codines quite close to Barcelona. Here you can see “alive” a numerous representatives of feathered predators – falcons, eagles, hawks, vultures, owls and eagle-owl, and many many others. Sandy rocks in Ille-sur-Tet, France (Les Orgues d'Ille-sur-Tet)

As you know, the most talented creator in this world is nature itself. Another proof of this are the incredible sandy rocks in the form of giant columns, staring at the sky and resembling the pipes of an organ of enormous size in the vicinity of the small town of Ille-sur-Têt in France, 50 kilometers from the Spanish border. As scientists say (and we have no reason not to trust them!), this structure is not too young, just some 4-5 million years old, but the remaining lifespan for these rocks is quite short – sand columns erode more and more with each rain that passed , and their appearance subtly changes. Perhaps they will last for rest of our lifetime, but better hurry!

If you are walking around Barcelona close to the Palace of Catalan Music, do not miss the opportunity to visit the Retro-Auto-Moto Museum, which contains vintage cars and motorcycles of the past (the oldest exhibit dates back to 1897!), disappeared brands from existing or disappeared countries ( including from the republics of the former USSR).
On the three floors of the building constructed in 1880, in an area of 1,500 square meters there are more than 80 diligently restored representatives of the automotive and motorcycle industry, most of which, by the way, can still move under their own power. Last weekend, September 1-2, the famous small medieval town of Besalu  hosted the traditional festival, Besalú Medieval 2018. Fabulously beautiful and authentic city gives us the opportunity to plunge into the atmosphere of the Middle Ages with its knightly tournaments, wandering merchants, musicians and jesters…

Have you ever heard about the “balcony of Catalonia”? This place is located on top of a mountain ridge at an altitude of 1,200 meters above sea level, next to the famous St. Mary’s Church in Queralt in the vicinity of the town of Berga in the Pyrenean foothills of Catalonia. An incredibly gorgeous views of the valleys and mountains of the northern province of Barcelona open up from the observation platforms; you can see virtually everything within a radius of fifty kilometers, including the most famous mountain range of Catalonia – Montserrat. True fans of the great Catalan architect Antonio Gaudi know that his legacy, his works, are not located only in Barcelona, they can be found in other parts of Spain. One of the little-known monuments to the work of the eminent master of form are the Gardens of Artigas (Jardins Artigas), located 130 km from Barcelona in the small town of La Pobla de Lillet in the foothills of the Pyrenees.
In 1905, Gaudi came to the city at the invitation of a local cement magnate to build a chalet in the forestfor workers , working hard in a coal mines for this magnate’s factory (where would you find such a boss these days?). Working on a project to build a chalet in the woods, Gaudi lived in the house of another local oligarchs, the Artigas family, the owners of a textile factory that was very profitable in those days. As a token of appreciation for the hospitality of the owners, or maybe just out of habit to create everywhere and always, Gaudi presented the Artigas with a project for arranging gardens on the bank of the Llobregat river flowing along the master’s house and their factory.
